👶 But in rural Ethiopia, many maternity clinics remain in darkness. There, light isn’t decoration - it’s survival. When night falls, midwives deliver babies by torchlight and critical equipment like fridges fail to store medicine at necessary temperatures.

☀️ At GreenLamp.ch, through our LIGHT initiative - which was recognised with the 2025 LIT Design Awards 'Spotlight Prize' - we install solar-powered lighting and energy in maternity rooms of remote health centres ensuring safe childbirth day and night with essential refrigerated medicines. This offers dignity for midwives, mothers and newborns.
