You are warmly invited to a film evening at Ciné17 in Geneva together with GreenLamp.

Join us on a journey to the Ethiopian countryside, where conditions are worlds apart from what we are used to. Sarah Noa Bozenhardt’s compelling documentary AMONG US WOMEN invites us to discover how maternal care is changing in the village of Megendi, and with it the question of women’s right to decide for themselves. In the middle of this change, young Hulu is expecting her fourth child. Against all medical advice, she wants to give birth at home in the customary way. Caught between tradition and modernity, patriarchal structures and female solidarity, the women struggle to navigate their relationships with one another and with those who seek to control their lives.
