We are delighted to invite you to attend our next GreenLamp event on Friday 6 March.

Following our success in winning the 2025 LIT Design Awards Spotlight prize – we will officially receive the Award from the LIT Awards team in a short Awards Ceremony

We have also invited Edinburgh-based author and surgeon Mhairi Collie author of “The Bright fabric of life” who will then share her experiences in Africa and how this led to her writing the book.

Bright Fabric of Life is a fictional novel about a surgeon and a woman with fistula in Ethiopia which is based on the author’s experiences. Mhairi is a consultant surgeon from Edinburgh who has regularly undertaken surgery in Africa and also co-founded a charity in Uganda to treat women with childbirth injuries.  All profits from her book therefore go to this charity.
 
This is a partnership fundraising event with ticket sales covering costs as well as a donation to GreenLamp.  Proceeds of book sales will go to the charity that the author works with for women with childbirth injuries.

This Fundraising event will be followed by a short AGM which Members can also attend virtually.
