We are pleased to announce that GreenLamp has been awarded the 2025 LIT Lighting Design Awards Spotlight Prize, recognising our impactful use of sustainable lighting solutions to strengthen maternal health care in rural Ethiopia.

Through our LIGHT Program, GreenLamp has installed over 325 solar systems in remote maternity wards, supporting more than 1.3 million births with reliable light and power. This work ensures safer deliveries, improved working conditions for midwives, and long-term benefits for entire communities.

As GreenLamp President Joanna Boyd stated:

The Spotlight Prize will enable us to expand our reach by equipping two additional clinics currently without lighting with solar panels, LED lighting, medical refrigeration, fetal Dopplers, and full installation and training support.
