UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Flag Day
SDG Flag Day marks a decade since the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
GreenLamp is proud to be part of this movement by contributing to five SDGs through our holistic approach: LEARN | LIGHT | LEAD
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
Enhancing maternal health services by expanding access and improving quality through trained midwives, solar-powered lighting and medical equipment, to ensure safer births and lower maternal and infant mortality rates.
SDG 4: Quality Education
Providing midwifery scholarships for young women from remote communities, we empower them with education and career opportunities that uplift entire regions.
SDG 5: Gender Equality
Empowering women to become leaders, role models and change-makers in their communities.
SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
Installing solar energy systems in rural health centres
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
Collaborating with local partners and capacity building in Ethiopia for sustainable progress
Since 2012, approximately 2 million women have benefited from safe births, over 3.6 million women have been provided with a skilled midwife and quality maternal health services, and over 7 million people are served by our solar installations.
Let’s keep shining a light on progress to achieve all the SDG’s for a better, fairer, and more sustainable world!
SDG Flag Day
26 September 2025
The SDG Flag Campaign is a global initiative that encourages organizations, businesses, schools, and governments to raise the SDG flag on 25 September 2025.
This date commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the SDGs by UN member states in 2015.
The campaign aims to increase awareness of the SDGs and showcase the actions being taken to achieve them.
Members are the ‘rocks’ of our community, they motivate us, support us, generate new ideas, and help us to advance our goals and make a greater impact.
